  • Exploring different job ideas

  • Job hunting skills e.g. where to find jobs/apprenticeships including social media, CV and cover letters, application forms and interview skills

  • Finding the right course/s including T Level and Higher Technical qualifications to meet their career goals

  • Getting into university

  • What funding is available for further studies including Higher Education

  • Arrange visits to UCAS Events, universities and careers fairs as well as organising internal events, HE Fairs and university/employer talks and workshops

Through the above activities, our Careers Team and the Curriculum ensure Oldham College complies with embedding the eight Gatsby Benchmarks outlined in the Government Strategy.

The College has been awarded the Matrix Standard, a National Government-approved Quality Standard for Careers Information, Advice and Guidance. This unique quality standard covers the advice and support services that help individuals make well-informed choices about their future careers.
